As we end 1995, I want to thank all of our neighbors for working very closely with me on the various issues that have impacted all of us. Things like: Water quality/stream cleaning projects, our townhall meetings concerning transportation issues--two lanes vs. four lanes through our community, air quality control, thefts on our beaches and in our homes, the horrors of drug-use, etc.
To solve these problems requires numerous meetings, phone calls, discussion groups to face each challenge. At times, we think we've solved a problem, but it reappears again... so we must be persistent. It takes all of us working together to make Waimanalo a special place to be!
As we begin 1996 I ask those of you who have worked with me this year to continue to do so and to encourage your neighbors to join the team. For us to be successful we must understand the issues, work together and take positive action!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Aloha,
Eve Anderson
